the fall malaise has been gettin me down, so making this was cathartic. i still haven’t tired of fidget house. i slept on some of these tunes for a little bit, so there’s a lot of good stuff in one place here. about some of the songs: i just discovered these bingo players fellas from the netherlands. they are no joke. neither are the bird peterson remixes. and of course herve and crookers kill it. i’m also glad to finally find the hijackin’ track for sale. i heard it in a mix a while ago and it was my jam, but never saw the release. that problem is solved. and an obama shout at the end… our long national nightmare is over.

this one builds up a little more slowly than usual. starts on the tech/progressive house tip, moves into some vocal indie-dance/house kinda stuff, dials back into some driving breakbeat stuff, then kills it with some dubsteppy-bassline-chopped-up-breakbeat killers, followed by some rap-infused electro house/baltimore club, and closes with a kuduro killer from the mad decent boys. recommended!

it’s my birthday and i was listening to some drum ‘n’ bass and was kinda jammin out so i decided to hit the record button and see what i came up with. the style resembles the last live set i played when i was kinda tryin’ to keep the attention of the old tech-house/techno kinda rave crowd. the result is over seventy minutes of jams covering a lot of genre ground and throwing in a few classics and popular jams from a bunch of different genres from the last couple years. electro house, tech house, breaks, baltimore club, fidget house, bassline house, hard house, and techno. haven’t put a mix out this long in some time. took the last song for the name… anyone remember this jam? it kills. enjoy…

my podcast feed all the sudden invalidated… it had been fine? maybe it was itunes 8 getting stricter about feed standards. anyway, i fixed it all up so it validates now. sorry about the downtime. been busy lately, will try to get a new episode up soon… ! maybe today if it all goes well.

it’s that time of the year again, can you believe it? students, teachers, whoever, this always sneaks up real fast. there’s no real theme to this mix other than i made it in late august. pay attention to the podcast because i’m working on going through old tunes and making new mixes without downloading anything new. with online mp3 stores and blogs, the volume way outpaces what i could ever put into a mix. so i’m trying to make use of good tunes i have lyin’ around. this is the first attempt at that. this mix stays on the housey tip most of the time, with a little breakbeat/baltimore club business to keep it fresh. there’s a spotty mix or two, but it’s a podcast so get over it.
